We know that Bjelolasica has been the synonym for winter tourism, but it is time to change your mind. Respecting all the beauty of our Adriatic Sea, we invite you to discover the summer at Bjelolasica. The proximity of the Crikvenica-Vinodol Riviera provides us the combination of the seaside and mountains. Only 30ish kilometers from Jasenak, taking Rudolfina over the mountain, you will reach Novi Vinodolski. Swimming in the sea and sleeping in peace and quiet mountainside is the secret formula for the ideal holidays.
Accommodation in Bjelolasica is a great starting point for short trips to the Kamačnik Canyon and the city of Ogulin, where you can visit Ivana Brlic-Mazuranic’s house of tales.

Bjelolasica is the highest mountain of Gorski Kotar, being part of the Velika Kapela chain. Her highest peak is Kula (1534 m).
It was named after a bright narrow ridge that stands out above the forest belt, especially when covered in snow.
Near Jasenak there is a hiking trail to Klek (1182 m) and the strict nature reserve White Rocks (1335 m) and Samar Rocks (1302 m).
The first recorded mountain ascent, mainly of Ogulin officers, dates from 1862.
According to the people’s legend, during stormy nights on Klek witches have their own seat.
Jasenak is mentioned even in Croatian literature of the 19th century. Our famous writer August Šenoa attended the opening of the road Ogulin – Novi Vinodolski, so-called Rudolfina, which later resulted in publishing a travelogue “Preko Jasenka” in Vijenac, the central literary magazine of Croatian literature and culture of the 19th century.
